Recently, MECC's first self‑invested, constructed and operated commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage project in Sweden successfully completed full‑system commissioning and commission‑to‑operate in June 2026. Located in a key Swedish industrial park, the project boasts an installed capacity of 1 MW/2.09 MWh and is jointly invested and built by MECC and the local industrial park. Fully equipped with MECC self‑developed 125 kW‑261 kWh liquid‑cooled all‑in‑one C&I energy storage units, this is the company's first landmark C&I energy‑storage project delivered in the Nordic market, marking a significant milestone in MECC's global overseas business expansion.
Against the backdrop of Europe's deep‑going energy transition, the Nordic C&I energy‑storage sector is experiencing rapid growth. Sweden's power market features drastic electricity price volatility, mature market‑oriented mechanisms and high penetration of renewable energy. By deploying energy‑storage systems for peak‑valley arbitrage, demand‑side management and refined energy administration, C&I end‑users can effectively cut comprehensive energy costs, improve power quality within industrial parks, enhance distribution‑grid dispatch flexibility, and support local renewable‑energy consumption, delivering remarkable economic benefits as well as green‑empowering value.
A total of 8 sets of standardized 261 kWh liquid‑cooled energy‑storage cabinets have been deployed on‑site. Supported by MECC's in‑house‑developed hardware portfolio and intelligent Energy Management System (EMS) platform, the solution enables real‑time equipment monitoring, remote intelligent operation & maintenance (O&M), and optimized automatic charge‑discharge scheduling. It fully meets strict European grid‑connection criteria and long‑term continuous‑operation requirements, delivering an integrated smart energy‑storage solution that is safe, efficient, stable and low‑consumption for local industrial parks.
To ensure speedy grid‑connection and on‑schedule delivery, MECC immediately activated its overseas technical‑support mechanism. Senior overseas after‑sales engineers from the Hangzhou headquarters travelled to the Swedish site and formed a dedicated commissioning task force together with local technicians. The team efficiently completed PCS parameter tuning, end‑to‑end communication adaptation, EMS and BMS software iteration & upgrading, as well as full‑condition trial‑run validation. All critical commissioning milestones were accomplished within merely two days, demonstrating MECC's outstanding overseas‑project delivery efficiency and rapid technical‑response capability.
As Europe's energy‑storage market keeps expanding, reliable delivery performance, localised service frameworks and full‑lifecycle technical support have become core evaluation criteria for clients selecting energy‑storage partners. Drawing on robust R&D capabilities, technical iteration strengths at its Hangzhou headquarters and well‑established overseas local‑service networks, MECC has built a one‑stop closed‑loop service system covering product customisation, equipment supply, on‑site commissioning, technical support and after‑sales O&M. It enables fast response to project requirements across European countries and provides sustained safeguards for stable operation of overseas energy‑storage assets.
The successful delivery of this Swedish landmark project further validates the product reliability, environmental adaptability and technical superiority of MECC's 261 kWh liquid‑cooled energy‑storage system under stringent Nordic operating conditions. It also fully demonstrates the company's comprehensive strengths spanning product R&D, engineering implementation, overseas delivery and localised services, accumulating solid project experience and reputational advantages for MECC's continued penetration into Nordic and high‑end European energy‑storage markets.
Looking ahead, MECC will further deepen its footprint across high‑end European markets. Driven by independent technological innovation, the company will continuously upgrade its liquid‑cooled energy‑storage product lines and smart energy‑management platforms, and refine its global local‑service system. MECC will keep rolling out more high‑quality, highly‑reliable overseas energy‑storage projects, and deliver professional, efficient and secure smart‑energy solutions to facilitate the green‑low‑carbon transition of global C&I industries and the high‑quality development of new‑type power systems worldwide.
