Standard Compatibility: Built to fit 19-inch server/equipment racks, with heights ranging from 2U to 8U (1U = 4.45cm) and depths of 50–80cm-matching the footprint of servers, switches, or UPS units. This eliminates the need for separate battery enclosures, maximizing floor space in dense installations.

High Power Density: A 4U model, for example, delivers 48V with capacities from 60AH to 200AH (2.88kWh to 9.6kWh), packing more energy per cubic meter than traditional standalone batteries. This is critical for telecom closets or edge computing sites where space is constrained.

 

 

Lithium Performance & Reliability:

Robust Power Output: Supports continuous discharge currents of 80–300A (3.84kW to 14.4kW) with peak surges up to 600A (28.8kW) for short durations, ensuring seamless backup for servers, networking gear, or industrial controllers during grid outages.

Long Lifespan: Leveraging LiFePO4 chemistry, it offers 3000–6000 deep cycles (at 80% depth of discharge) and retains ≥80% capacity after 10+ years-outlasting lead-acid rack batteries (500–1000 cycles) by 3–6x, reducing replacement frequency.

Stable Voltage Regulation: Maintains a consistent 46–54V output during discharge, compatible with rack-mounted power supplies and preventing voltage drops that could damage sensitive electronics (CPUs, storage drives, sensors).

 

 

Integrated Safety & Smart Management:

Rack-Specific BMS: A built-in Battery Management System (BMS) monitors cell health, temperature, and charge status, with alerts sent to rack management systems via Modbus, SNMP, or dry contacts. It protects against overcharging, over-discharging, short circuits, and thermal overload-critical for fire safety in enclosed racks.

Q: What maintenance is required for the 48V lithium rack mount battery to ensure long term performance?
A: LiFePO4 batteries generally require minimal maintenance. However, it's important to keep the battery within its recommended operating temperature range, which is typically between - 20°C and 60°C for discharge and 0°C and 60°C for charging. Regularly check the battery's connections to ensure they are tight and free from corrosion. Although LiFePO4 batteries have a low self discharge rate, if the battery is not in use for an extended period, it's advisable to charge it to around 50 - 70% state of charge and store it in a cool, dry place. Also, monitor the battery's performance using the built in battery management system (BMS) to detect any early signs of degradation or malfunction.
