Battery Charging and Discharging Control

Grid-Tie and Islanding Modes
In grid-tie mode, it synchronizes with the utility grid and feeds excess solar power back into it, often qualifying homeowners for net metering credits. In the event of a grid outage, it can automatically switch to islanding mode, disconnecting from the grid and using stored battery power or continuing to generate power from pv panels to supply essential loads. This provides backup power and enhanced energy resilience.
Battery Management System (BMS) Integration
When integrating the BMS, a dedicated microcontroller within the goods is connected to the battery pack. It uses voltage and current sensors placed strategically on each battery cell to monitor their states. The BMS software then implements cell balancing algorithms, which redistribute charge among cells to prevent overcharging or undercharging. This integration safeguards the battery life and performance, ensuring safe and efficient energy storage.
